Dear Shirley, I am so sorry for your loss of your Mother. I will always remember the days I spent at your house when I was a little girl, and the love I received (and felt) from your Mother. She was my Mother, Amma's, best friend for my Mother's whole life. Thank God for her during those years after my Daddy died, because so many of Mother's and Daddy's children lived out of WVa, but Thelma was always there and Mother enjoyed her visits so much. I loved your Mother very much and wish JoAnn and I could have made it to her funeral, but we didn't find out about it until too late. I hope you have peace and confidence in the hope of seeing her again with your daddy and everyone else in your family someday. I love you. Donna

Shirley I'll always remember you and your mom and how gracous you both were to let us stay at your house . Daddy talked about his sisters alot. About alot of the things they did as kids and how the three of them stuck together when their mom left. Daddy sure liked his visits to West Virginia Thelma would always laugh and call daddy a rounder. I guess he was in his day. He often said if he could change things and say things different. I know he loved Aunt Telma and Aunt Dorothy but never expressed it until in his later years. Its never to late. So sorry in your saddness. I know you heard this alot but she is in pease now and a better place. Sometimes I dream of Daddy and see him dancing and laughing and having a good old time. He is beeming with spirit of love to everyone. we never forget, but it gets easier day after day. God bless and take care.

Aunt Thelma you were so special to me during my life time. There are so many memories of you thru the years, like walking to all the church homecomings on Sundays,in the Summer, because I came to your house the day after school was out and usually spent the whole summer. You always baked me a Birthday cake(usually choc.) and made a freezer of ice cream. Altho after I grew up, got married and moved to Michigan I didnt get to see you as often, but always managed to visit you when we would come back to W.Va. for a visit. Brick always had to go to your house and stay when he was little, when we would come to Moms. Guess because you kind of spoiled
him like you did me. I'll miss my Thursday staying with you while you have been sick, but know you and Mom are together now.Maybe you two can roll out peanut butter balls for candy. I'll do all I can to help Shirley if she needs me. Rest in peace, Im so thankful I was with you during your last hours on earth. I'll miss you and will always treasure the memories of you we have made during the years.
Love Jo
