 Emma Mae Effingham, 86, of Barboursville, formerly of Huntington went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 6, 2007. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Minister Delmer Adkins and Minister Emual Adkins. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. She was born May 12, 1921, in Wayne, a daughter of the late Preacher Paris Adkins and Susan Adkins. She was a member of Wolfpen United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Effingham; one son, Bobby Bren Effingham; one grandson, Scott Brian Barker; sisters, Olga Adkins, Carrie Adkins, Antha Adkins, Florida Merritt, Ruth McCaffery, Theo Adkins, Alta Thompson; three brothers, Leo Adkins, Tolbert Adkins, Boyd Adkins. She is survived by one son, Dennis Lee Effingham and his wife Elizabeth; one daughter, Linda Lou Barker and her husband, Paul; one sister, Ditha Jean Clay; two brothers, Clifton Adkins and Lionel Adkins; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

On behalf of me and my family, we would like to thank everyone for the love and support that you extended to us during our time of grief.
