1933 - 2007
 Harold D. Swann, 74, of Barboursville/Milton, WV, passed on to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and loved ones who preceded him on Monday, November 12, 2007. Harold was the son of the late Stonewall Jackson Swann and Zama Jenetta (Minor) Swann. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo J. Swann and Walter E. Swann. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lillian (Perkins) Swann, a daughter and son-in-law, Crystal S. and Dirk Blackdeer of Tonganoxie, Kansas; a son and daughter-in-law, H. David and Margaret Swann of Dale, Indiana; one grandson, David Raymond Swann of Indianapolis, Indiana; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John M. and Mary J. Swann of Barboursville and James A. and Alicia Swann of Columbia, SC; and a sister-in-law, Eleaner J. Swann of Barboursville. Harold was a combat Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict serving aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS Valley Forge and at various other naval stations. He served on the Barboursville Police Department during the Henderson Administration. He worked for CSX Transportation in Huntington and Baltimore, MD, retiring on December 31, 1987. Friends may call after 1:00 pm Wedneday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Wednesday at White Chapel Memorial Gardens by Pastor Don Wheeler. In lieu of flowers, those who desire may make a donation to the Huntington Salvation Army, Huntington City Mission or the Disabled American Veterans. I am so sorry to hear this news. I remember Harold being so very pleasant. I know all of you will miss him terribly. Please extend my deepest condolences to the rest of your family. I'm sure my mother was not aware, so I let her know. Please take care of yourself and and know that God is with you.
