Judith Ellen Swims, 63, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Josh Brunty. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born September 1, 1944 in Lincoln County, a daughter of the late Dowe and Lillie Burgess Adkins. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dallas and Danna Jarreol Adkins. She is survived by two children, Tammy Maler and Sonny James Swims both of Springfield, OH and their father, Jesse Swims of West Hamlin, WV; three sisters, Eloise Brunty of West Hamlin, Joyce Jones of Columbus, OH, and Jo Helen Adkins of Huntington; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Family would like to especially thank Rose Morrison and Butch Brunty for their speical care and also a special thanks to everyone at the Huntington Hosice House. To the Family of Judith E. Swims
Barbara and I send our condolence to the family and friends.
We ar sorry to hear the loss of your mother and sister. We know she will be truly be missed by the one who loved her the most especially to the family and friends. Barbara and I had the pleasure to meet Judy when she and her sister Jo would walked around the courtyard of Rotary Gardens Apartments during the summer months.
