I taught math to Mark at Cabell Midland. He was a great kid. I was shocked to see his obit when I got back today. I know there are no words to really help at this time. My prayers are with you. Ann Harris

There are no words to express all our saddness and grieve. Marky was a great kid and turning in to be even a more wonderful man. His smile, sense of humor and his caring about others, more than himself, is what I will always remember most.

Mark Sanford Bailey, 21, of Salt Rock, WV, passed away Monday, December 24, 2007 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007, at Baylous Cemetery by Pastor Jeff Sizemore. He was born January 11, 1986 in Huntington, WV, a son of Mark E. Bailey of Salt Rock and Anne Hightower Black of Huntington. He was an employee of Tri-State Coating in Salt Rock. Additional survivors include his paternal grandfather, Morris Bailey of Barboursville, and his paternal grandmother, Deloris Bailey of Barboursville; his maternal grandfather, Bernard “Botchie” Hightower of Salt Rock; two sisters, Candi Spurlock and her husband Chris of Salt Rock, and Maggie Bailey of Salt Rock; one brother, Jacob Bailey of Salt Rock; two stepsisters and two stepbrothers; and a host of loving family and friends.
