1915 - 2007
 Mary Alice Hunter, 92, of Barboursville, wife of Frank Hunter, died Sunday at home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wallace Funeral Home by Dallas Moore. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Mary was born August 15, 1915, in Leon, Kentucky, daughter of the late Hiram and Nancy Hall. She was preceded in death by son, Frank Hunter, Jr., granddaughter, Gina Terry; great-granddaughter, Melissa Terry; sisters, Alta Evans, Anna Stewart, Carmen Roberts and Katherine Buck. Surviving are two daughters, Nancy Cartmill, Joyce (Chris) Simpson; one son, James (Beth) Hunter; six grandchildren, Randy Johnson, Melody Hall, Jim Hunter, Mont Hunter, Brandi McKeating and Tiffani Pendleton; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. On February 22, 2007, Mary and Frank celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary. Mary was loved by everyone who knew her. She was a very loving, caring lady who wanted to take care of everybody. She was a very active member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington where she served on the Church Board, taught Sunday School and served as President of the Missionary Society. Mary played golf until she was 87 years old and she dearly loved being on the golf course with her many golfing friends. She was named Barboursville’s Senior Citizen of the Year. Mary was a wonderful lady. I enjoyed playing golf with her at Knob Hill. She was never "ruffled" on the course. Of course, she didn't hit very many bad shots. I am proud to have known her. Please accept my sincere condolence.

Nancy,
Sure hate hearing about your mom. She lived a life on this earth that has reserved her a beautiful mansion with her Lord and Savior. If you need anything at all give us a call and tell your dad that I said hello, God Bless, PJ and Joyce Jordan.

PaPaw Hunter and family....
So Sorry to hear that Mamaw Hunter
has gone to be our Savior and the Angels that surround him. She will be missed dearly. Although we didnt know her as well as the other family members, our times with her with be cherished forever. She was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed. Keep your memories with her alive and she will always be close to your heart.

Dear Frank,
We are saddened to hear of Mary's passing, but know she is rejoicing with the Lord today, along with her friends, including my mother, Lydia Moore.
