 Gladys Irene Smith Hinkle, 69, of Culloden, WV, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007, at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Culloden Cemetery. She was born July 24, 1938, in Barboursville, WV, a daughter of the late Kenneth Elmon and Hazel Lewis Smith. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Jefferson Smith. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Eugene Hinkle; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Gail and David Chapman of Culloden; one son, Randy Hinkle of Culloden; one sister, Kathy Black of Milton; four brothers, Kenneth Eugene Smith of Barboursville, James Lewis Smith of Culloden, and Robert Franklin and Rickie Lee Smith both of Barboursville; one grandson, Stephen Lee Chapman; two stepgrandchildren, Timothy Michael and Jonathon David Chapman.
