Willard Ross Holland, 83, of Milton, WV, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Vernon Wallace. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum, Beckley. He was born May 29, 1924 in Beckley, a son of the late John William and Herdie Gale Holland. He was a member of the Washington Avenue Church of God (Hol), Milton. He was a former employee of Eccles # 6 Coal Mine, General Motors Corporation, MI, co-owner/manager of S & J Supermarket, DeWitt, MI, service station manager for Texaco Corporation in DeWitt, MI and Pure Oil & Gulf Corporation in Charleston, WV, and worked for an Ashland Oil owned business in Beckley, WV. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline M. Dennison and Verline M. Holland and two brothers, Clarence W. and Richard T. Holland. He is survived by one daughter, Kay Holland and one son, Barry Holland, both of Milton; three brothers, Wildon M. Holland of DeWitt, MI, John William Holland, Jr., of Tuscon AZ, and Paul P. Holland of Oceana, WV and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton.
