Hazel C. Bond Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1915 - 2008 Hazel C. Bond, 93, of Ona, WV, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2008 at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church by Pastor Paul Meadows. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery. She was born February 14, 1915, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late James Caldwell and Theo McCormick Caldwell. She was a member of the Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Bond; two sons, David and Robert Bond; three brothers, Ralph, Clyde and Harold Caldwell. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Brenda Bond, Wilson and Becky Bond, and Barbara Bond; three sisters, Frances Beckett, Anna Wetherholt, and Iva Mae and Jr. (Wayne) Rider; sister-in-law, Christine Caldwell; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gene and Mildred Caldwell, Carl and Joyce Caldwell, and John and Alliene Caldwell; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I (Joyce) worked with Hazel many years ago at Southwestern Community Action. Loved her dearly. She was a fine lady. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Jim and the Bond family, my deepest sympathy and prayers go out to you in your great loss. Mrs. Bond was an angel on earth and will be truly missed by your community. Cabell Creek will not be the same. She was like a second mother to me and I am so sorry not to be able to be there to attend her services.
