Orville Laverne Pinson Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1930 - 2008 Orville Laverne Pinson, 77, of Ona, WV passed away Monday, February 18, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Minister Emual Adkins. He was born on April 2, 1930, a son of the late James Madison Pinson and Elizabeth Gilkerson Pinson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Lester Pinson ; son, Jerry Pinson and grandson, Christopher James Pinson. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Marla Pinson of Lavalette, WV and Bill and Amy Pinson of Ona; one sister, Grace Plymale of Huntington and two brothers, Curtis Pinson and James Pinson both of Huntington; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. The family would like to express special thanks to Joyce Cook, Cabell Huntington Dialysis Unit, Drivers of Yellow Cab, Hospice of Huntington and the Veterans Admininstration Medical Center Staff. Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

What can I say Bill, we grew up together, you were at my house and me at yours as much as we were at our own. Your dad was a strong and fair man. I loved him and am so sorry I havent spent time with him the last few years. I know the 2 of us were very lucky to have them as fathers. The 2 of them were certainly different, werent they? I will talk to you later Billy, I love you bud, take care.

I had the pleasure of knowing Orville during his time spent at the Dialysis Unit. He was a pleasure to have as a patient and he will be truley missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
