Rachael Ellen Thompson, 26, of Glenwood passed away Thursday, June 26, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton by Pastor David Blake. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery. She was born November 5, 1981, in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of Carl Thompson Jr. of South Carolina, and Deborah Dean of Glenwood. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harlan Dean. In addition to her parents she is survived by her step father, Kenneth Scarberry; one son, Tanner Spurlock and his father, Jake Spurlock; one sister, Heather Hicks; one brother, Chad Dean; maternal grandmother, Edna Dean, paternal grandparents, Ruth and Carl Thompson Sr.; step grandmother, Margie Scarberry; special nephews, Preston and Benjamin Dean. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 29, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am so broken hearted and so sorry ... I will always have great memories of Rachael ... such a spunky, sweet and funny girl ... and a good mommy to Tanner. My heart is absolutely aching for the little guy and for all of you. I will keep you in my prayers. May God Bless You and help you through this difficult time.

My prayers and thoughts are with you all in this sad time. Rachael was a friend of mine through school. When she came to Milton to school she was partnerd up with me in our class, and I showed her the school. I miss those days, as she was always a sweetheart to me.
