Ronald Keith Pete Walker, 56, of Barboursville, passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2008. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel, Barboursville with Dr. Jerry Warren officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Pete was born May 23, 1952 in Barboursville a son of Eldon Walker of Barboursville and the late Irene Hoke Walker. He is survived by his wife, Jill Morgan Walker; one daughter, Courtney Walker of Barboursville; one sister, Diana Hibner of Ona; two brothers, Gene Walker of Barboursville and Homer Walker of Shoals. Friends may visit after 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Wallace Funeral and Chapel, Barboursville. Online condolences may be sent to www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am so sorry that I received the message from my Brother Tom Walker too late to either be there or send condolences. Though I did not know cousin Pete very well as I left West Virginia shortly after High School graduation, I am and are very fond of Aunt Irene and Uncle Eldon and tipped more than a few beers with Cousin Gene. I heard of Pete many times in passing while talking with Gene, Eldon and Aunt Irene. I am very sorry for you loss and hope only the best for the family. We are all Walker's after all. I was so sorry to read of Pete's death. I will always remember his sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was a great man, whom I was lucky to call a friend.

I was greatly saddened by tne news of Pete's demise. He was a good and loyal friend, a devoted father who tried to teach his family as a good moral father and husband should. To his brother, who I last heard he was living with, I offer you my deep heart felt condolences at your loss of your dear brother. To Courtney who gave up things he needed for himself to get you the special shoes or gown for the prom... he loved you dearly and you have lost a father that can never be replaced. To Jill, through good times and bad, he provided as supported his family to the very utmost of his ability. With all the health problems that he shoulded, the obligations and resposnsibilities - Pete can now forever rest for all things have passed away in this world and he no further worries now. I shall miss him deeply.

Jill/Courtney, I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Pete in Cardiology for several years. He was a wonderful person to work with and talk to. He cared about all the patients that came through the department, as well as the employees and their families. Courtney, he was VERY proud of you, he would talk about you all the time. I have missed him since he retired from here. I know you all will miss him even more. Take care. God's peace to you both.
