Your family does not know me, but I wanted to let you know I am truly sad to read this today. Jimmy was a great man. I grew up on Crane Ave. in Altizer and my dad, Cecil Roe, who passed away in 2002 always taught me to use our local places, not chains. Jimmy's garage at the end of the Russell Creek bridge was a natural fit whenever we needed anything done on the cars! He was one of a kind. He brought a smile and honest work together to make your day. I learned to pump gas at that station and really was lost when it closed, often wondering how Jimmy fared and what he was up to. My sympathies to each of you. Cherish your memories and always love and stay in touch with each other. God Bless!
