Violet Ellen Harshbarger, 80, of Milton, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2008, at St. Marys Medical Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Sunday, September 7, 2008, at Gwinn Cemetery by Rev. Richard Black. She was born July 11, 1928, in Cabell County, a daughter of the late George Finley and Clara Manning Finley. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Forest, and Kermit Finley; one stepson, Jearold Allen Chuckie Harshbarger. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Harold H. Harshbarger; one daughter, Diana Lynn Collins; one step-daughter, Brenda Shull; two stepsons, Harold L. Harshbarger and Kevin Harshbarger; three sisters, Kathleen Sargent, Opal Kirtley, and Marietta Grass; one brother, Carl Finley; two grandchildren, Lisa Smith and Craig Owens; two great granddaughters, Gabrielle Owens and Emily Smith.
