I have visited this page many times and could never leave words. I served with Ronnie as a new ET on the Pearl Harbor as he was preparing to return home. I came from a family of all girls and he was the brother I never had. I loved him so much and still do. I could act so recklessly in ports knowing he would make sure I was ok and back to the ship safe! Ronnie introduced me to Monty Python movies and Dragonlance books. Always thought we would reconnect and joke again. I miss you more than can be expressed. You were a true friend which I have discovered is hard to find. RIP - I hope your children and wife know how much you loved them!

10 years have pasted. You are still missed and loved. The feelings I had 10 years ago are still here today. I guess this is the way it will be from now on... Miss you man!

No matter how long it has been or what happens in my life, there will never be a day that I don't think about Ronnie & miss him greatly. I look forward to the day that we meet again. I think of it often. Until then, I will cherish the memories we shared & think of the many smiles he put on my face.

Not a day goes by that I'm not reminded of him - as if anyone could forget. You only come across friends like this once in a lifetime. I pray everyone who knew him is doing well, especially those closest to him.

My heart was greatly saddened when I found out about Ronnie's passing. We shared a sense of family in high school together, we used to pretend that we were each others brother and sister from Abu Dhabi, blame it on geogrophy, but we both could laugh at anything, I miss that type of spirit! I send my love to his family, Ronnie was my smile and still will be!!

One year later...I still, and I guess I will always, miss you. I unlike others CAN believe it's been a year. You have never been far from my mind and so time passes slowly. I'm telling your stories/jokes and stories of crazy things we did to anyone that will listen so that you will live on. Aww crap I'm crying again...gotta go.

I just learned of Ronnie's passing. I was stationed with Ron onboard the USS Pearl Harbor and stood watch with him. He was a good man, with great sense of humor. I am very sorry for your loss.

I still miss Ronnie more than words can describe!! It is not suprising to see all of the friends he has made over the years and what they have said on here about him. There is not a person in this world that could meet him and not love him! Even though it has been almost five months I am still lost without him. He was like the brother I never had and I miss him calling me "sis." I am thankful I had the privilege and the honor of having Ronnie and his family in my family and in my life. He changed my life forever! I am so thankful for the time I shared with him on this earth and I am looking so forward to the day we will see him again!! He has given us all so many happy memories to think back to when our hearts are breaking. You can't think of him and not smile! I love you Ronnie!!

I am truly at a loss for words. There just aren't words to describe what Ronnie Ross means to us all. He has and always will have a place in my heart. He has changed who I am. He has shown me true happiness. He has shown me love. I only hope that I could make him as happy as he has made me. Wherever I go, my love, "There You'll Be".

I worked with Ronnie in South Charleston at the HITS Data Center. Ronnie was my best friend at work. We had many good times together and we were always laughing. We were both always telling each other stories from our past and talking about our families. I am honored to name myself among the people that he called friend. To those that knew him you know that Ronnie never met a stranger, but we had grown quite close. To know him was to love him. I love him and will always remember him. My thoughts and prayers go out to Ronnie's family and the rest of his friends. Ronnie's passing has profoundly affected me. I will always cherish the time we spent together. Ronnie, I love you man and we all miss you. We will see you when we get there... God Bless You and Keep You...

I just wanted to say that I always saw Ronnie as not only one of my brothers best friends but as another older brother to me. My brother, Tony, and his gang were always kind enough to let me tag along with them. I will never forget the first time I ever drove b/c Ronnie thought it would be fun.....we learned very quickly that it was a little too soon to let the "lil sis" try that one! Ronnie still came to vistit my family as much as he could always telling the most hilarious stories you've ever heard. He will be so terrible missed. My thoughts, prayers, and condolences go out to all of those affected by this immense loss. There was no one like him.

Although it has been sometime since I have seen Ronnie, I think of him often. We served together onboard the USS PEARL HARBOR from 1997 to 2001, I was his Leading Petty Officer and he was an a new ET3. I considered him family and still do. We spent many a holiday together and I can't think of my time on that ship without thinking of him. My sincere sympathy to his family, no words can express how much he will be missed. When I heard of your loss, it just brought back lots of memories, We were always at the ball field, I know Ronnie was older than my boys, but he was always talked about by you & Brandon. I guess I am one of many that knows exactly what you and the family is going through. Only time will heal. We never forget and we don't want to forget. Our prayers are with you and the family, you will get through this, we just have to turn it over to God. Sometimes it seems like the best are taken away early. I'll never understand why, I guess we shouldn't question what God has in his plans. If at any time you want to call or just need a great big hug, I'm just a call away. We all send our love and prayers to all of the family. God Bless your family. Love ya linda H

No farewell words were spoken No time to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it And only God knows why Our hearts still ache in sadness and secret tears still flow But now we know you want us To mourn for you no more To remember all the happy times Life still has much in store Since you'll never be forgotten We pledge to you today A cherished place within our heart Is where you'll always stay
