Goldie E. White Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1922 - 2008 Goldie E. White, 86, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville by Rev. Heron Adkins and Rev. Ray Adkins. Burial will be in Mays Cemetery. She was born February 6, 1922, in Wayne County, WV, a daughter of the late Walter Adkins and Ella Dillon Adkins. She was a member of the Bethlehem United Baptist Church. She retired from the Penobscot Building in Detroit, Michigan as an elevator operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene White; two sons, Clinton and Virgil Mays; one grandson, Keith Allen Eaves. She is survived by two daughters, Martha Eaves of Huntington and Audalene Starr of Barboursville; one son, Roger Mays of South Point, OH; one sister, Revella Adkins of Branchland, WV; one brother, Leonard Adkins of Barboursville; nine grandchildren, Sherri West, Connie Munger, Anita Farley, Boyd Mays, Lloyd Mays, Teresa Frye, Duane Adkins, Susan Mays and Barbara Maynard; seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
