Vennelda  WareVennelda Ware, 91, of West Hamlin, WV, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 13, 2008 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Harry Moore. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was a daughter of the late Milford and Ethel Perril Fortney. She was a retired school teacher. She attended Portersville Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coach Dick Ware. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rod and Sherri Ware, Mingo Junction, Ohio and Joe and Judy Ware of Rt, 1, West Hamlin; one brother, Hunter Fortney of Virginia; grandchildren, James Ware, Susan Townsend and her husband, Patrick, Rebecca Ferguson and her husband, Ray, Katherine Kern and her husband, Phillip, Shannon Gump and her husband, Nathan; nine great-grandchildren. Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 p.m. at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
