Dorthey McCallister Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1935 - 2008 Dorthey McCallister, 73, of Ashland, KY, formerly of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, December 1, 2008, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by the Rev. Bob Ray. Burial will in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born March 1, 1935, in Kanawha County, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Aubrey and Virginia Stutler. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ceredo, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry McCallister; and sister, Freda Curry. She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Musgrave (Dan) of Cheshire, Ohio; one son, Gary McCallister (Jeannie) of Ashland, KY; one sister, Louise Chapman; one brother, Larry Stutler; five grandchildren, Jonathan McCallister, Samantha McCallister, Jennifer Pappas, Danielle Jones, and Jason Greene; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Nathan Jones. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I used to work at Visions Hair Studio, where Dorthey had her hair done. I haven't been there for almost 5 years, yet I will always remember Dorthey. I have even styled her hair a time or two when my friend, Patricia Pack ,who has done her hair for many years, would be on vacation. We all really loved being around Dorthey. she will be greatly missed.

Brenda & Gary, I am very sorry to hear about your Mother. You probably don't remember me but your mother would take care of me while my parents were out of town. I had an older sister, Mindy, that was closer to your age. Your Mother and Father were truly great people and I still have very fond memories of your entire family.
