Although I only knew Rick for 8 months, it felt like we knew each other for a lot longer. He was such a sweet man and he has left an imprint on my heart. He became a member of our work family so quickly. We all loved him dearly. I don't know what to say....this has knocked the breath out of me. Dwight R. "Rick" Morrison, 56, of Milton, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Kevin Shull and Rev. Josh Brunty, Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born November 6, 1952, in Huntington, a son of Samuel and Peggy Hicks Woodrum of Milton, and his birth mother, Anna Kelley of Lincoln, CA, and his loving mother-in-law, Eloise Brunty. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Carl Brunty. He was a graduate of Barboursville High School. He was a former employee of the FBI, Special Metals, McCorkle Machine, where he was President of the local Steelworkers of America, and most recently, an employee of Sulzer Metco of Barboursville. Also surviving are his wife, Rose M. Morrison; son and daughter-in-law, Jason R. and Valerie Morrison; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Rhonda of Barboursville, and Kevin and Devon Morrison of Beaumont, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky Jeffers of Huntington, Brenda and Ron Tibbetts of Parker, AZ, Shirley and Floyd Driever of Watonga OK, Wilma Dorsey of Checotah, OK, and Debbie and Rick Mann of Lincoln CA. Also surviving are many cousins, nieces, nephews, and one very special cousin and friend, Ruth Ann Antepenko, of Indian Rocks, FL.
