1948 - 2009
Alex C. "Bo" Price, 60, of Ona, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 4, 2009, after an extensive battle with Mantle Cell Lymphoma. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Davis and Pastor Daniel Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He served his country honorably from March 1968 to March 1970 and his Lord from 1984 till March 4, 2009. He was employed by Kerr Glass for 13 years and at Super Value for 21 years. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Damon and Golden Price; brother, Damon Price Jr.; and sister, Linda Chandler Bell. He leaves behind his loving wife of 41 years, Joyce Price; son, Michael Price of Cleveland, Tennessee; his #2 son and daughter, Kent and Alecia Grose of Glenwood, WV; four sisters, Barbara Miller, Mary Wall, Janie Baisden and Carol Cassis and her husband Larry; one brother, Joe Price and his wife Brenda. He will live on in his "Reason for Living," his five grandchildren, Luke and Damon Price of Tennessee, Siera and Dusty Grose of Glenwood, and Johnda Grose of Ona; great-granddaughter, Haylee Marie, who will never know the love and joy of attending "Grandpas Daycare." He also leaves behind special fishing and four-wheeling friends, Victor and Betty Dailey. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. My Darling Friend Joyce, Dave and I were married 41 years also. I guess he and Bo will have a lot to talk about as they praise our Lord together. And please know that I'm here anytime you may need to talk, share, or cry. We both were blessed to have had them in our lives. Even though we may not always recognize it at the time,God is with us and does give us the "peace that passeth all understanding". I love you my dear and am so sorry for your loss.

Joyce, Alecia, Michael and the rest of your family, Words can never describe the sorrow I feel for you. Bo fought a good fight, he has now WON the battle. He's home and free of this wicked disease that has taken him from this world into a much better world. We were not ready to give him up to that other world yet. God saw it differently.
