 Ray Topping Dunkle, 78, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, March 27, 2009 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Pastor Bob Browning. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. He was born March 26, 1930 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Arnold Richard Dunkle and Olive Topping Dunkle. He was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Lou Braley Dunkle, one brother, Keith Dunkle and one sister, Fonda Eileen Smith. He was a member of Elmwood Baptist Church. He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Marty Dunkle of Barboursville; one daughter, Shirley Dunkle of Barboursville; one sister, Phyllis Gothard of Herndon, VA; two brothers, Orville Glen Dunkle of Barboursville and Donald Dunkle of Mason County, WV; three grandchildren, Jennifer Dunkle King of Huntington, Carla Toth and Sarah Rollins, both of Barboursville; two step grandchildren, Chris Caserta and Brandon Caserta; two great grandchildren, Joshua Toth and Kaytlin Toth; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington or charity of your choice. Gary, Shirley, Glen, Phyllis and Donny,
We are so sorry to hear about Ray's passing. We were good friends since childhood. I have many fond memories of our growing up days on Booten Creek. I am sure he will be missed by all.
