
Mr. George Ralph Palmer, 75, of South Point, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Charles Lane. Entombment will in Woodmere Abbey of Remembrance. He was born December 30, 1933 in Belmont County, Ohio, a son of the late John W. and Emma B. Gorby Palmer. He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation, a veteran of the United States Marine Corp, having served during the Korean War, a member of the V.F.W. # 1064, and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America # 455, Huntington, Lawrence Scottish Rite Club, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Lodge Chancel Chapter Consitory Valley of Cincinniati, and the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of Ohio, Lodge # 497, South Point, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, ODella M. Hensley Harbour Palmer; step-daughter, Lisa Harbour; and brothers and sisters.
