Earnest "Bud" Shank Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1932 - 2009 Earnest Bud Shank, 76, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Monday, April 20, 2009. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Mausoleum, Huntington, WV, by the Rev. Gordon Rutherford. He was born September 19, 1932 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late James Lloyd Shank and Julia Mae Cooper Shank. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emmalee Ellen Niehart Shank. He was a member of Olive Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and John Bledsoe of Barboursville and one grandson, James Bradley Bledsoe. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Gideons International, Cabell Lincoln Gideons, P.O. Box 21, Ona, WV 25545 Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, is in charge of arrangements.

Jennifer, I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I always enjoyed his teasing, the last time I spoke with him he was still calling me Lizard Gizzard! I wish I could remember just how I got that nickname, but as long as I can remember that was his name for me!

Jennifer I know your heart is sad for the loss of your Dad, how precious they are to us, but remember you will be with him in Heaven some day, where there is peace and no more pain. Agian I am so sorry for you. Love and prayers are being sent to you.

To the Family of Ernie. I met Ernie at Olive Baptist Church, and how faithful he was. My heart is so heavy for the family, but Ernie is in a place he worked for every day - In the arms of his Lord ( Jesus Christ). Ernie was a fine man of God, and we will all miss him at Church.
