1955 - 2009
 Douglas L. Newsome, 53, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 26, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Lonnie Wilson. He was born August 22, 1955, in Beckley, WV, a son of the late Rev. William Amos Newsome and Lauravilla Jeanette Dow Newsome. He attended Lincoln Church of God. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Newsome. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Nicole Newsome; two daughters, Shanik Monee Newsome and Tiasha Lashea Newsome Taylor; one son, William Edward Douglas Newsome; son-in-law, DuJuan Lamont Taylor Sr.; seven grandchildren, Tevin Donta Trent Newsome, Absolute Maliki Pendelton, Jatarious Keysean Willis, Lauravilla Jeanette Newsome, Shaquavia Lashea Newsome, Janarah Tyshae Newsome, DuJuan Lamont Taylor Jr.;and many friends and family who will miss him. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. |

My cousin Douglas will truly be missed. Always in trouble, and full of humor with either his harmonica or food up to his lips. My cousin will always have a special place in my heart and my memories.
