Danny Gail VanNatterDanny Gail VanNatter, 60, of Ona, WV, passed away May 12, 2009, at St. Marys Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Friday, May 15 2009, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints by Bishop Tony Edmonds. Burial will be in the VanNatter Family Cemetery, Ona, WV. He was born August 26, 1948, in Madison, WV, a son of the late Thomas Edward and Mamie Ethel Cooper VanNatter. He was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Roy VanNatter; two brothers, Thomas Dewain and Herman Elwood VanNatter and one sister, Ilene Ann Adkins. He was a member of the WV Lincoln, Boone and Logan Genealogical Society. After his retirement from General Motors, he dedicated his life to genealogy and to his farm which is registered with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, Premise/Farm Identification Program. He is survived by his wife, Billye Jo Cook VanNatter; two sons, Gary Douglas Blankenship of Lakeland, FL and Danny Dewain VanNatter of Ona, WV; special grandson who he raised as a son, Thomas Roy VanNatter II; two sisters, Marlene Adkins of Chapmanville, WV, and Linda Woodrum of Leet, WV; three brothers, Rexal VanNatter and Edward VanNatter, both of Wyandotte MI, and Ernest VanNatter of Milton; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville, and after 12:00 noon Friday at the Church. I just want to say to you my brother, You were so inspireing and a good example to us all. We will miss you to no end. But, soon we will meet in Heavenly Fathers kingdom even if I don't get to your celestial world please come and visit me in mine. Until,we meet again do know that we loved you so much and will miss you often.

Danny was a dear friend and will be missed by all of us whose lives he has touched. May God bless and comfort the VanNatter family and those friends that mourn his passing. We know we will see him again when we all return home to our Heavenly Father. Until then may peace and comfort be with you.

Sister VanNatter, I'm so sorry to hear of Dans passing, he was a great man and a wonderful person who was always willing to help those around him. It should give you comfort to know that he is out of pain and in a far better place and will be waiting for us there when its our time to go. Someone once said "Each departed loved one is like a magnet pulling us to the other side" There have been so many of our friends pass since we moved west. We will remember you in our prayers and put your name on the prayer role tomorrow (Thursday) when we go to serve.
