Curtis E. GibsonCurtis E. Gibson, 62, of Milton, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Duke University Medical Center. Curt was born February 14, 1947, in Milton, W.Va., a son of Hazel Chapman Gibson and the late Eschol E. "Eck" Gibson. He was retired from ACF Industries with 30 years of service and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and the dobro player for the Mountaineer Ramblers Bluegrass band. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Donna Cochran Gibson; one son and daughter-in-law, Dwight and Christy Gibson of Milton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Shawn Bostic of Ona and Cherie and Shawn Womack of Milton; six precious grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Kelsi Gibson, Kayla and Derek Bostic, Trey, Sierra and Nathan Womack; one brother, Troy and Karen Gibson; two sisters, Kathryn and Bill Davis and Joyce Gibson; a special friend, John Myers; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, with Pastor Bob Ray officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. Friends may visit from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Donna, just learned today, August 21st of Curt's passing away, was with my grandson in Bville park and met a little girl who went to Milton Elementary, I ask about you and her parents were with her and told me the news, I was in Chicago on July 12th at Cliff's nephew wedding and did not get newspaper and had not heard, I am so very sorry, you are such a wonderful family and I have very fond memories of us when we worked together and our children were the same age. You are in my thoughts and prayers, Connie
