Dorothy E. Stone, 87, of Huntington, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2009. She was born May 27, 1922, in St. Albans, WV, a daughter of the late Bernard Gilbert and Anna Mae Morris Gilbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Stone. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Gary Shaffer; one son, William E. Stone II and his wife, Natalie; three grandchildren, Andrew Shaffer and his wife, Kristye, Kristin Shaffer, and Amy Shaffer; one great grandson, William Bradley Shaffer. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Graveside services will be conducted at noon Thursday, August 6, 2009, at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, by Rev. Chelcie Gibson.
