Robert Clark Pumphrey Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2009 ROBERT CLARK PUMPHREY, 68, of Huntington, formerly of Bridgeport, W.Va., passed away Friday, August 7, 2009, at home. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Dennis Morello. Graveside services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2009, at Middleville Baptist Church Cemetery, Bridgeport, W.Va. He was born June 18, 1941, in Clarksburg, a son of Betty Caroline Jordan Pumphrey of Bridgeport, and the late Francis Thomas Pumphrey. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Clark Pumphrey II. He is survived by his wife, Katherine Faris Pumphrey; one daughter, Robin Lynn Cleghorn; sisters, Shirley Fears of Florida, and Dalores Rogers of Bridgeport; brothers, Larry of Virginia and Greg of Huntington; grandchildren, Nicole Vernon, Shannon, Jaclyn and Jonathan Cleghorn; two great-grandchildren, Emma Wilson and Joshtin Boone; and a special cousin, Herbie Blake. To Katherine, I am sorry for your loss. I do not know if you are the Katherine I am looking for. I went to a construction school at Jackson's Mill in Weston with a Katherine Pumphrey in the early 1970s. I think it was 1974. If this is the same Katherine please send me a message as I have tried to find the correct person for a long time. There was also a Linda Block there and my name was Nancy Largen at that time.

I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a wonderful man. Me and Bob grew up together--went to school together and worked together for many years at the Clarksburg Exponent-Telegram newspaper. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Larry Crislip--Clarksburg WV
