Norman  Goodpaster Jr.Norman "Bugs" Goodpaster Jr., 59, of Milton, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton with Pastor Sunny Sovine officiating. Burial will follow in Gwinn Cemetery, Milton. He was born February 10, 1950 in Cabell County, W.Va., a son of the late Norman Sr. and Retha Black Goodpaster. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Donnie "Hub" Goodpaster. He is survived by his fiancé, Brenda Gue; one son, Mark Sowards and wife Heather; one daughter, Heidi Taylor and husband Jason; two grandsons, Mason Sowards and Braydon Taylor; four granddaughters, Brittney Sowards, Kelcy Taylor, Leigha Taylor and Jasmine Black; four brothers, Merle (Connie) Goodpaster, Verle (Teresa) Goodpaster, Mike (Barb) Goodpaster and Terry Goodpaster and companion Dreama Young; two sisters, Reba Conrad and companion Jim Parker and Sherry (Denver) Davis; several nieces, nephews and all the Bear Holler Riders. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the family. Mark, Oh my hun where do I start,I remember when you was a baby and Bugs would hold you,he would smile so big, he loved you so much and the look in his eyes told it all. You was the APPLE of his EYE !! You look just like him,people look twice to make sure huh..I know the hurt you are feeling now hun, but as long as you have his memory with you he will live on in your heart..Just remember now you have a ANGEL watching over you always. I can't think of a better person to watch over you from above !! I love you so so much, my heart goes out to you hun, your Dawna Pooh ;)

On behalf of the Johnson family and myself, I would like send our hearts prayers to the Goodpastor family. Our family have always been close friends. My Dad (Mark) enjoyed working with bugs for many years and always would come home telling all the funny pranks that Bugs played that day. Our hearts go out to you all.

ITS TUFF NOT SEEING HIM AROUND. HE WAS ALWAYS OUT DOING SOMETHING. OR TALKING TO SOMEONE. HE WAS ALWAYS THE FIRST GUY TO LEND A HAND TO HELP OUT IF HE COULD.
