 Billy F. Davis, 72, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 22, 2009, at River Cities Lighthouse Church, 1033 8th Avenue, Huntington, by Pastor Donnie McCloud. Burial will be at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born December 15, 1936, in Huntington, WV, the son of the late George and Ethel (Horsely) Davis. He retired from the Ohio River Company, and a member of the River Cities Lighthouse Church. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Adkins Davis; three daughters, Bernice (James) Adkins, Vicky Wiley, and Ethel Franklin; one son, Billy (Cathy) Davis, Jr.; two sisters, Delores McCloud, Juanita Wilson; one brother, George Davis Jr; seven grandchildren, Jimmy, Beth, Jamie, Misty, Mandy, Brandi, Billy III; nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Friday, August 21, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at River Cities Lighthouse Church, Huntington, WV. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville is assisting the family with arrangements. Dear Dad!!!!Wanted to write you a little note just to say how much we miss you!!!!We know that you are dancing in Heaven with your mom and dad. I miss u terrible my pops.. I know he went to be with the lord
And he suffers no more. Buy it doesn't change the fact that I miss him and I can't hear his voice anymore.
We he went I lost a part of myself. I know
I will see him again sooner than we all think.

My thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. I know Uncle Billy was probably suffering, & you will soon find some comfort knowing that he is suffering no more, & I'm sure that is one thing you wanted for him.
But His memory will always be with us!
