Regania Sue AdkinsRegania Sue Adkins, 88, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday September 13, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Ray Adkins and Rev. Jessie Lacy. Burial will be in Morrison Cemetery. She was born July 17, 1921 in Louisa, KY, a daughter of the late Ezra and Esther Alley Adkins. She graduated from Barboursville High School in 1938 and attended Business School in Huntington. She was a member of Bethlehem United Baptist Church, a retired employee of Wayne Couny Court House, and enjoyed piecing quilts, needle work and watching nature. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Truman Adkins and one grandson, Kevin Dale Adkins. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Lowell Gale and Sandy Adkins of Huntington, and Larry Truman and Tammy Adkins of Lavalette; grandchildren: Kim Head and her husband, David of Woodbine, GA, Kelly Baker of Birmingham, AL, and Kisa Adkins of Gadsden, AL; great-grandchildren, Travis and Brittany Swann of Woodbine, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Toney and Lila Adkins of Branchland, Homer and Emma Jean Adkins of Culloden, Amos Adkins of Culloden, Charles (Red) and Janice Adkins of Culloden; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis Jean and James White of Marietta, OH; seven nephews, and five nieces. Friends may call Saturday from 6-8 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
