Billie Joan Holland, 82, of Milton, passed away November 10, 2009, at home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2009, at Washington Avenue Church of God (Holiness) by Pastor Vernon Wallace, Pastor Ronnie Nida and Pastor Rod Davis. Entombment will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. She was born April 23, 1927, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of the late John Mack Woodrum and Lydia McDorman Woodrum. She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Glen Woodrum; grandparents, Enoch and Sally McDorman. She is survived by one daughter, Kay Holland; one son, Barry Holland; and one sister, Mildred Allison. Mrs. Holland was employed by CAMC Memorial Division for 16 years. A member of Washington Avenue Church of God (Holiness), she served the Lord faithfully for over 50 years. Not only were her prayers a strong influence in her childrens journey of faith, but also that of many others. She staunchly supported Christian education and assisted in any way that she was able. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
