Marie Marie "Chris" Miller, 68, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord, on Monday, November 16, 2009. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2009, at the Barboursville First United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Judy Fisher. Burial will be in the Miller Family Cemetery, Barboursville. She was born March 15, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, a daughter of the late Leslie Carl and Elizabeth Caroline Borchert. She was a 1959 graduate of Barboursville High School. She was a former employee of Piedmont Airlines and retired from US Air. She was a member of Barboursville First United Methodist Church, the Dorothy Circle and the Master Gardeners. She is survived by her loving husband of forty-seven years, Ed Miller; one daughter, Leslie Simpson and her husband Craig of Shepherdstown, WV; one son, Bill Miller and his wife Teresa of Ona, WV; one sister, Betty Davis and her husband Mickey of West Chester, OH; and two grandchildren, Sommer Derrickson and her husband Alex of Blue Ash, OH and Zach Miller of Ona, WV. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scholarship Fund at Barboursville First United Methodist Church.
