1929 - 2010
 Vetura Elizabeth Nida, 80, of Barboursville, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 14, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 17, 2010, at Gethsemane United Baptist Church by the Rev. Danny Dailey and Rev. John Gilkerson. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery. She was born December 22, 1929, in Harts, WV, a daughter of the late W.E. Bills and Oma Neace Bills. She was a member of Gethemane United Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was instrumental in getting school buses to run on Hollands Branch Road and for it to be paved. She also had a great love for Chihuahuas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Wetzel Nida, four brothers, William, Elbert, Robert and Everett Pappy Bills, and three sisters, Anna Mae Maynard, Willie Marie Lucas and Sadie Estelle Farley. She is survived by three daughters, Greta Good of Florida, Vaunda Ryder and her husband Randy of Milton, and Deana Sullivan and her fiancé Leo Kincade of Huntington; three sons, Rev. Steve Nida and his wife Peggy, Derrick Nida, and Stacy Nida and his fiancé Natahsa, all of Barboursville; two brothers, Rev. Zachary Bills of Barboursville and Dale Bills of Proctorville, OH; fourteen grandchildren, Kara, Stephanie, Derrick, Jr., Nathan, Trista, and Corey Nida, Joshua and Natalie Ryder, John Michael, Evan and Elizabeth Brianne Sullivan, Ashlee, Kaitlyn and Jacob Sowards; and five great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-9 pm Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville and after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the church. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
