1918 - 2010
 Marie Hatfield, 92, of Branchland, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 23, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Robert Hatfield. Burial will be in Ben Hatfield Cemetery. She was born January 11, 1918 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Christopher Vannatter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Homer Hatfield, one son, Clarkie Smith, and one daughter, Debbie Martin. She is survived by two daughters, Vickie (Bob) Emerick of Barboursville and BarbaraMartin of Branchland, WV; six sons, Fred Hatfield and Larry (Beverly) Hatfield, both of Branchland, Kenny (Terry) Hatfield of Lincoln County, Ted (Sharon) Hatfield, Steve Hatfield, and Rick Hatfield and Patty Compston, all of Branchland; one sister, Imogene Rayburn; twenty grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. The world lost a wonderful woman , this week, and heaven recieved a new angle.even though marie and i havent talked so often lately I will miss her so very much. when i married her son clarkie she was a second mother to me i miss her son clarkie so much,and i will surely miss marie too.rest in peace angles i will think of you so very often

I am so very sorry about the loss of your loved one. She was my grandson's,Clayton, great- grandmother. I did not know her, but I am sure all of her family and friends will miss her.Let us all remember and hold dear in our hearts those family members (especially parents and grandparents) who have passed on. Lets us keep alive the memories of their time on earth with wonderful stories and thoughts about them to those greatgrand children who did not know them well or who never knew them. May your family find peace at this very difficult time and the strength and conviction to carry on a positive family legacy created by Mrs. Hatfield, her husband and all of those before them. The world lost one the best women you ever meet.She was the best Mother, Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. Those that knew her know what I'm saying is true.
