1925 - 2010
 EMERSON G. PEARSON, 84, of Barboursville, W.Va., died late Saturday evening, May 15, 2010, at his residence in the arms of his family. He was born May 21, 1925, in West Hamlin, W.Va., a son of the late Winfield Scott Pearson and Hattie Shelton Pearson. He was preceded in death by two infant sisters, his brother, W. Scott Pearson and his sisters, Reva Adkins and Norinne Marcum. He was a loving family man and friend. A career railroader, he retired from CSX Transportation with service spanning five decades. He was a proud veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theater with the 8th Army Air Corp. He was a member of the Minerva Lodge, No. 13, A.F.& A.M., and a loyal member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Barboursville. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Ouida Harbour Pearson; one son, Kenneth L. Pearson and his wife, Sandra, and one grandson, Dr. Kenneth Andrew Pearson, all of Barboursville. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 19, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by the Rev. Judy Fisher. Burial will be in Enon Cemetery. It's a sad time...my mother is Louava (Shelton) Wilson...she and her siblings (my late Aunt Ruby, late Uncle Ralph, Aunt Anita, Aunt Lita and Aunt Delane looked at Emerson like a brother...I always remembered him at the Pearson Family Reunions...Cousin Emerson will be missed...love you...Teri, Rod & Diana Erwin
