Dawn and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember John as being an excellent nurse and wonderful coworker. Such a kind, knowledgeable and compassionate person (nurse) is rare. I've occasionally thought about him over the years. We will miss him greatly.

I just want to express my heartfelt sympathy to Dawn and family. I worked with Djohan in the ICU at Cabell for several years. He was a wonderful person in every way possible...a class act. He was an incredible nurse with a heart full of compassion and empathy for everyone he took care of. He was such a good friend to me and I will never forget him. I regret that I hadn't spoken to him in a few years. I moved to Florida and just lost touch but he was often on my mind. He will be missed terribly.

Dear Family, I have not seen Jon for several years, but I had the honor of working with him MANY years ago and he has always been on my favorite people list. He was always a man of great intelligence, compassion, integrity and kindness. He was a terrific nurse and a wonderful person. He handled his long illness with such strength and grace. The world suffered a tragic loss with his death. I know you all will miss him terribly, but I am sure his wonderful qualities are shared by his family. My prayers are with you and I will always be grateful that my life was blessed with Jon's friendship. Sincerely, Jane George

John was such a great friend and co-worker who was a inspiration to me. From long conversations about life, work, and projects around the house. His love and concern about others was shown in kind words and the skill and art of the nursing care he provided. I will miss him.

Dawn, We're so sorry for your loss.We just wanted you to know what a great help the two of you have been to us. John was an inspiration to all other cancer patients. He fought such a long hard battle, yet at every treatment he managed to go around and talk to all the other patients and see if they needed anything. He never quit being a nurse. Most of his suggestions were useful during treatments and we learned alot from the both of you and he will be sadly missed at the chemo room.Last time we saw him you were both so excited about his daughter and grandchild. We are so glad he got to experience that joy. You are in our thoughts and prayers and we just want to express our deepest sympathy.
