Steven Greg Ratcliff, 51, of Playa Vista, CA, formerly of Huntington, WV, went to Heaven peacefully on June 4, 2010, while at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, WV, by Rev. Donnie McCloud. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on June 11, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Steve was born June 25, 1958, in Huntington, WV, a son of Carl and Patty Rogers Ratcliff. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Maudie Rogers; paternal grandparents, James and Clella Ratcliff; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lindsey and Anita Webb. Steve is survived by his wife, Brenda Lee Ratcliff; two sons, Steven Shawn Ratcliff and Joshua Justin Ratcliff; one sister and brother-in-law, Judith and Jerry Clark; one brother, Daniel Ratcliff; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Carol Lowe. Steve was a member of River Cities Lighthouse Church. He was a proud Christian whose personal credo was: "Jesus, I love you with all my heart, mind, soul, and body." Steve was a professional engineer specializing in instrument and electrical engineering. He worked at Chevron Corporation, coordinating the company's instrument reliability processes around the world. He loved his family, the beach, and sports cars. Steve was my uncle and I am happy for him that he suffers no more pain, but I am deeply saddened by the loss of this great man. My heart is with his wonderful parents, his beautiful wife, his two well-beloved sons, and the many other family members and friends who have suffered this tremendous loss.

I worked with Steve at Chevron in El Segundo, CA; he added a lot of value to our company and made good improvements in our I&E reliability processes. My sincerest condolences to Steve's family; he will be missed.
