Judy Belle BatesJudy Belle Bates, 57, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at her residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 3, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Larry Nelson and Pastor Lee Dean. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born October 12, 1952, in Huntington, WV, a daughter of Phyllis Jordan Jeffers and the late Frank Jeffers. She was a member of the 36th Street Tabernacle. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Dova Bates. She is survived by her husband, Darrell Bates; one daughter, Cindy Zickefoose (Todd Patton); two sisters, Joyce Bates (Rick) and Connie Walters (Ervin); one brother, Frank David Jeffers; three grandchildren, Whitney and Dylan Zickefoose, and Zachery Gray; seven nieces and nephews; seven great-nieces and nephews; father-in-law, Cecil Bates; sister-in-law, Cela Gauze (Will); and a host of friends. Special thanks to Hospice of Huntington and to her church family. Friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. i love you judy god had you now and i will see you soon judy was with me the day the dr told me i had lung cancer and now she gone but not forgotten judy i will meet you soon and we can smile and tell joke like we did long time ago i will see you in heaven in a little while girlfriend until then rest in peace love you my dear friend

Connie and family I didn't really know judy well but what I do remember is that she was a very beautiful lady and the sweetest person you could ever meet, My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. We now live in Florida, but we will remember the testimony and witness of Sis. Judy during the years we lived in Huntington and John preached on Saturdays at 36th st. church. Sis. Judy, her sisters and mother were such a blessing to us. God be with each of you.

Cindy,I am so sorry for your loss. I would talk to your Mother at Fruth. We would talk about you and her grandchildren, and the old gang back in the good old days!We would laugh and laugh.She told me Fred was so well behaved when he was at your house.lol I would ask about her when I always went in Fruth.I will miss her and her smile very much.
