To: The Family of Eloise Carter Gue.--Hello Johnny. For many years I felt like a friend to Eloise, since my grandparents The Woodrums lived on the corner of Staunton Street and Bridge Street, very close to Eloise's family home, when we were growing up. Also, I was and still am a close friend with Ruth Ann Hopkins Krantz and since she and Eloise were friends throughout most of their lives--I would always ask Ruth Ann about Eloise and you, Johnny, since I had lost contact with both of you completely. Be assured that both of you were in my thoughts often, so I was naturally very sad to see this obituary. (I look at the Htg. obits every day on the computer). I married Howard LaFon (HEHS 1952)and we moved to SE Florida in March 1995. I graduated from HEHS in 1955. I feel/hope you might remember me from many years ago when we were childhood friends, and then teenage, friends. My DEEPEST SYMPATHY to you and your entire family in the loss of this most important loved one. Shirley Ann Saunders LaFon
