I wanted to share some memories I have of Marcella. I am the granddaughter of Rosie Adkins. I attended church at Bethlehem United Baptist with my grandma, I called her Mommaw Rosie. This was when I was between the ages of 7-12. I am currently 32 years old. Mommaw, Marcella and Ardith sat in the same pews (middle section, 2nd and 3rd. pew back) for every service that I can ever remember attending. I can specifically remember that each of the 3 had their hair in perfect braids or a bun. Each of the 3 would give me gum, mints and candy. They all were very sweet to me. They were close friends as well as very good women. If only everyone in the world could be as kind. I am sure you all have very fond memories of her as well, but I wanted to share mine to let you know that she left an impression on me that has lasted for over 20 years. I am sorry for your loss and I hope that you find peace and comfort.
