The world has lost a great lady. She touched my life in my formative years. She gave so much and asked so little. God bless Mary and give comfort to her family.

Joan,
We read of your Mother's passing in today's Herald-Dispatch. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Dick's last orders will be delivered next week, and so will end his 52nd year in the food business. We have a lot of good memories of our times with you and Bob at various grocery gatherings.

Mary and I never met in person but I knew her through her granddaughter Mary Jo. Because my nani "grandmother" had passed I used to tease her and say she was my adopted grandma. She was such a sweet person....I adored her. My condolences to your entire family, as I know it doesn't matter how old a grandmother is...it seems we never have them long enough! I can't tell you how many times she would write to me....they were always the sweetest letters. She will be greatly missed by all. God bless!!!
