Leroy Williamson, 72, of Milton, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, peacefully at home, with loving family at his bedside after a long illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Burial will follow in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born on August 16, 1938 in Elkin, North Carolina, the son of the late Beulah Williamson. He was also preceded in death by one son, Thomas Racer; one daughter, Sherry Ponder and a great-granddaughter, BreeAnna Venoy. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Doris Lillian Young Williamson; one daughter-in-law, Becky Racer; son-in-law, Larry Ponder; grandchildren, Thomas Racer, Eric Racer, Aynessa Mondlak, Amy Prichard, Michael Ponder and Carrie Watters; and a host of great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Zoar Baptist Church Building Fund; 1955 Balls Gap Road; Milton, WV 25541.
