1940 - 2010
Edward Triplett, 70, of Salt Rock, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at his residence after a long and courageous battle. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Rev. Robert Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Green Valley Cemetery, Branchland. He was born February 14, 1940, a son of Willa Brock Triplett of Barboursville and the late Roy Triplett. In addition to his father, Roy Triplett, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby and Lewis Triplett; and sister, Janice Walker. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Ruth Triplett; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dr. Kim and Tim Lauder and Denise and John Hipes; eight grandchildren, Ellie, Ethan, Madigan, Jamison Edward, Mathias Brock, Katie, J.L. and Alea; brother, Mark Triplett (Bev); sisters, Brenda Kay Touchon (Bob), Barbara Johnson (Danny) and Mamie Adkins (Jimmy); brother-in-law, Harold Hawk Walker; uncle, Vasco Brock and a special friend, David Ross; goddaughters, Lori Beth and Melanie Baker. He was a faithful member of the Madison United Baptist Church. He retired from American Car & Foundry. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Prader-Willi Association at 8588 Potter Park Drive, Suite 500; Sarasota, Fl 34238. Nellie Ruth. I am so sorry for your loss! I know you have really been through a lot with the loss of your Uncle, Aunt, and Husband within 6 months. I am so sorry for your burden of all of that plus having to care for your sick mom! May God be with you and your family during this troublesome time! We are praying for you and your family.
