Eldora Lee Rollyson Harshbarger, 86, of Barboursville, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, died at her home October 10, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Judith Fisher. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park, Huntington. She was born February 16, 1924, a daughter of the late Roscoe and Bessie Clark Rollyson. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Barboursville, and was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Rollyson and Dale Rollyson and a daughter-in-law, Sue Harshbarger. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Louie; daughter, Mary Alice Freeman (Colan) of Barboursville; son, Rockie Harshbarger of Keller, TX; sister, Betty Blevins of Huntington; brother, Edsel Rollyson (Bernice) of Barboursville; foster brother, Larry Duncan (Hester) of Las Vegas, NV; grandchildren, Kara Harshbarger Mahmood (Rusty) of Los Angeles, CA, Samuel Adkins (Angie) of Cincinnati, OH, Matthew Harshbarger (Maggie) of Austin, TX; great grandchildren, Pippa Mahmood and Sadie Harshbarger. Also survived by nieces and nephews and their families, who loved her dearly. Eldora was a homemaker of many years who loved to cook and bake. She loved feeding her family and extended family, teaching them to cook and sharing her recipes. She also loved to travel and went on many vacations with her children and grandchildren. She was an encourager who shared her ability to make the most and best out of any circumstance and had the ability to laugh and cause those around her to see the humor in all things. All these memories and many more will be treasured by her friends and family. Friends may call after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV, 25709. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.
