1948 - 2010
 Bernard Jack Butch Maynard, 62, of Lavalette, WV, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was born January 4, 1948 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Lowell and Bertha Black Maynard. He was a US Army veteran serving in Vietnam and was a member of the American Legion Post #177 in Barboursville, and a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Chapter 52 in Kenova, WV, and V.F.W. Post #9738 in Guyandotte, WV. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Finley Maynard; one daughter, Tammy Shipley and her friend Gene Shipley; two sons, Jeffery Maynard and Johnny Maynard and his friend Grace Donnally, both of Lavalette; two grandchildren, Cody Maynard and Kylee Maynard; a special cousin, Richard Black; a friend, Troy Shipley; and a host of uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by Brother Danny Damron. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I worked with butch at the veteran home and got to know him
from there and we would run
into him at VAMC.
We would talk about veitnam
I am sorry to here about his
death and no words I can say.
can make it easier on you
