He was a truck driver for Old Dominion Freight Line. He is survived by his father Richard Smith and his wife Marian; his mother, Carolyn Smith; his wife, Christi Smith; three sons, Tyler L. Smith, Dustin E. Smith and Richard Cole Smith; his niece who shared his home, Catalina Smith; one sister, Lisa Bryan and her husband Calvin; two brothers, Anthoney G. Smith and Michael L. Smith; his father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Deborah Colliflower; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Julia Colliflower; nieces and nephews, Jordan Colliflower, Aaron Bryan and Chad Bryan; special friends, Danny and Kelly Vannatter; special stepsister, Tiffany Glover and a host of aunts and uncles.
