1931 - 2011
 Hubert V. Roach, 79, of Ona, WV, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, January 1, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at the Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel by the Rev. C.J. Adkins. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. He was born June 20, 1931 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late William Ochell and Nellie Fay Gillespie Roach. He was retired from State Electric, was a member of Pleasant Valley Freewill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army. He was preceded in death by his first wife of fifty years, Betty Jo Legg Roach. He is survived by his wife Janet Ellis Roach; two daughters, Terri (Dave) Owens of Barboursville, Lisa K. Roach of Lavalette, WV; one son, David Roach of Danese, WV; a special grandson, Cory (Ami) Richardson of Barboursville, and grandchildren, Marissa Owens, Danielle Roach and Jordan Roach; a great grandchild, Chance Richardson; one stepson, Larry G. (Kim) Weaver of Miamisburg, OH; two stepgrandchildren, Juleah and Brandon Weaver; two sisters, Lorene Shockley of Florida and Dorothy Louise Fletcher of Kenova, WV; three brothers, Norman Roach and Paul Roach, both of Huntington, WV, and James Thomas Roach of New Richmond, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. I had the pleasure of working at Kerr Glass with "Ringo", he was one of the most honest men I knew. I am so sorry for your loss. He definetly is in a better place.

HUBBIE WAS A WONDERFUL FRIEND THAT I WAS VERY LUCKY TO KNOW,WORK WITH AND COME TO LOVE AS A DAD AFTER I LOST MINE OVER 13 YEARS AGO.HUBBIE HELPED ME TRU THE HARD TIMES.I'M SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS AND HE WILL BE GREATLY MISSED BY MANY.I AM VERY LUCKY TO HAVE HUBBIE TOUCH MY LIFE AND HE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART AND LOVING THOUGHTS AND TIMES I GOT TO SHARE WITH HIM. I know your pain and how you are hurting right now, but it really is such a blessing for your father to be freed from that disease. He is now whole and dancing for joy! My family's thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless and keep you close in this time of sorrow.

Our Prayers and thoughts are with
the Roach family. I pray your hearts will be lightend knowing he is going to a better place. Hubert was not only my frind, He was my Uncle. We also served in the Korean Conflict at the same time. This man will be missed.
