Janice Marie Vannatter Smith, 75, of South Point, OH, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, June 8, 2012 at the Ashland Community Hospice. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. She was born September 14, 1936 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Hurston Shag and Gertie Kirk Vannatter. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Cremeans and Jewell Gue and one brother, Cline Vannatter. She is survived by her husband Merlin Edward Smith; one daughter, Dottie Davenport of South Point, OH; two grandchildren, Justin Reaper and Karhlee Zambos; and two great-grandchildren.
