Charles William Gerwig Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1949 - 2021 Charles William Gerwig, 72, of Barboursville, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Huntington Health and Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 Friday, April 23, 2021, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Masonic Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Minerva Lodge #13, A.F. & A.M., Barboursville. He was born March 22, 1949, in Charleston, WV, a son of the late Ocie William Gerwig Jr. and Jean Martin Gerwig. He was a member of the Minerva Lodge #13, A.F. & A.M., Barboursville. He is survived by his wife, Mary Conner Gerwig; one daughter and son-in-law, Sara Marie and Darrell Triplett of Huntington; one sister, Mary Scaggs of Wheelersburg, Ohio; one brother, Robert Gerwig of Venus, WV; and two grandchildren, David and Elizabeth Triplett. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am very sorry to hear about Charles's passing. I worked with him at WOWK-TV for a long time. Charles was a great friend and a great engineer. My prayers are for Mary and Sara

I got to know Charles when I was a member of the Fire Dept. He was a great person always willing to help when asked and always fun to joke with. We are praying for your comfort during this time.

Our condolences to you and your family. My husband, Allen, worked with Charles at Channel 13 for many years. I also remember your families-I attended church as a child at Central UM in Charleston. We are praying for your comfort during this time.
